In the recent school holidays we spent a full day with 60 kids aged 12-18 from the Northern Football Netball League and then another full day with another 60 kids from Bendigo and the junior football / netball clubs in Central Victoria.
The events were held at Latrobe Universities (Bundoora and Bendigo) and we had 4 facilitators run a combination of SALT courses, games and activities designed to equip these elected young leaders to impact their clubs and team mates positively and intentionally.
Each participant has a list of challenges to fulfil during the season before we meet again in the Term 3 holidays to run follow up sessions that build upon their experiences during the season itself. Both of these events were sponsored by generous partners. The first by Susan Alberti and the second by Mawsons Concrete and Quarries. Susan has been the patron of SALT since inception and Mawsons continue to fund us every year to make a difference in country sporting clubs.
