HE Parker Reserve is an extensive sporting precinct with two ovals, a tennis club, bowls club, new sports pavilion and home to Maroondah Nets, a multi-sports complex that enables training and competition for netball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis.
H.E Parker Reserve was named after Henry (Harry) Ernest Parker, a prominent local figure in Heathmont during the 1940s and 1950s. H.E Parker was elected to Council in the 1940s and was elected as Mayor from 1940-1941, 1945-1946 and 1950-1951.
In 1958 H.E. Parker was sadly killed in a car accident at age 58. The reserve was named after him as a tribute to his community service in Maroondah.
