What We Do

SALT is a not-for-profit mental health and wellbeing organisation that delivers high quality education sessions into sporting clubs, workplaces and schools.  Our aim is to help build mentally resilient people with healthy values who provide positive influences on their teams, workmates, classmates and their broader community.

Our courses cover many different topics such as mental health and wellbeing, leadership, healthy masculinity, female empowerment, equality and respectful relationships, positive parenting, and coaching.

SALT’s sessions are interactive, non-judgemental and engaging to participants. They are based on positive psychology and the latest research from the appropriate peak bodies. SALT has developed a unique Live Quiz platform that provides anonymous real-time feedback from session participants, often unveiling serious issues that can then be addressed.

We have a team of highly skilled presenters who are passionate about promoting positive culture in sporting clubs, workplaces and schools.

Our courses can be delivered in person or online via Zoom.

SALT team members also have the skills to respond to clubs who find themselves in crisis – whether that’s through a toxic culture or from some form of crisis.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, SALT has been working to help provide the community with the tools and strategies to cope mentally with the challenges of isolation, working from home, loss of tribe etc.  During the first lockdown we ran free lunchtime weekly seminars available to anyone who was interested.

Moving into an easing of restrictions and the promise of significant re-engagement SALT turned their attention to designing sessions that would, in smaller groups, help people deal with the changes forced upon us by COVID-19 and cope with the impact.

The result was Re-Connect for sporting clubs and teams and Re-Emerge for businesses.  These sessions are based on the research that shows that after a traumatic life event a percentage of people are able to learn from the experience and emerge not with Post Traumatic Stress but with Post Traumatic Growth.  Our aim is to help as many people as possible find the way to thrive post COVID-19.
